Just a little bit about me, in case you want to know - and if you don't want to know, you can totally skip ahead ;-)
I have been married 15 years and am the mother of 6 children. I have four children in school and two toddlers. I am a somewhat goofy, loud, make-a-fool-of-myself type person, but I definitely know when to focus and get things done. I love to read and belong to two book clubs. My husband and I are avid believers that the more opportunities you give your children to read, the more they will love it! Many times I will see my 9 year old boy sitting on the couch, immersed in a Science book, with loud children all around him and he doesn't even notice. He loves to read! My husband goes to the library EVERY Tuesday and brings home loads of books for our children - they are always excited to see what he brought home.
I love sports and I am a die hard BYU fan!! You will often see me jumping up and down and raising my voice at the TV screen during Football and Basketball season; I am passionate about my Cougs! My poor children know not to mess with mom during games; they always choose their mellow father :)
I love waterskiing, snowskiing, tennis, golf, and flag football, but my favorite sport to play is basketball! I played for Alta High School and would have played in college, but I met my wonderful husband, Jason, and chose to get married. Jason and I have a lot of fun playing one-on-one and I'm sad to say he still beats me 9 out of 10 times. If only I could jump as high as he can!! Grr.
I love public speaking, singing, playing the piano, writing music, and performing on stage. Yep, I'm one of those . . . a complete ham! I have played the piano for about 30 years and have been writing music for 22 years. I currently have 13 piano students and I love it!
My husband and I are both big on exercising! We try to workout everyday and I can honestly say I love it! I have developed a new love for running and I really enjoy biking and lifting weights. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a complete health nut; I definitely LOVE me a good, BIG, thick, shake and anything dark chocolate! I'm only human, right?! . . . oh and if you throw me a loaf of hot homemade bread, you may never see it again.

I love being a mom and I consider it a wonderful privilege! I have learned so many things from my children and I want to be the best mom I can be. I make tons of mistakes, but overall, I think I do a pretty good job. It's because of this love that I chose to accept the nomination for PTA President. I am maxed out, time wise, and many people think I am crazy to do this, but I love being involved in my children's schools and I believe in the PTA Program. I look forward to working with all of you and I hope that you will find me approachable and always willing to listen to your needs and suggestions. This is going to be a GREAT year!!!
